Environment and Natural Resources Management in Developing and Transition Economies CERDI, Clermont Ferrand, France, 17-18-19 October 2012 with a Preconference on Migration and the EnvironmentThe CERDI (Centre for Studies and Research on International Development) of the University of Auvergne is organizing its Second International Conference on Environment and Natural Resources Management in Developing and Transition Economies, to be held: 17-18-19 October 2012 – CERDI – University of Auvergne (Clermont-Ferrand, France) Environment
and development concerns will remain on the agendas, although the
financial and economic crises have diverted attention from global and
local environmental threats and natural resource management issues in
developing and developed economies. The IPCC will release its 5th
Assessment Report; states will meet on Environment and Development
issues within the Earth Summit 2012 to be held in Rio in June. Preconference on Migration and the Environment Moreover, this Second Conference welcomes a preconference on Migration
and the Environment jointly organised by the CERDI, the CES from the
University of Paris 1, France, FERDI (Fondation pour les Etudes et
Recherches sur le Développement International) and IDDRI (Institut du
Développement Durable et des Relations Internationales): Main objectives of the Conference The Conference is intended to share research and gather feedbacks on work
in progress and completed papers as well. It will bring together

from different scientific fields will also be considered. The Conference
will include parallel sessions as well as plenary ones dealing with
major issues of sustainable development in developing and transition
economies. See the Call for Papers for more details. The deadline for submissions is extended from 30 june 2012 to 09 July 2012.
